Directorial Experience
​
As a stage director, Phillip Sprayberry has numerous credits which include drama, comedy, musical theatre, musical revues, and opera for professional, regional, and community theatre. But his greatest rewards come from a four-decade career in educational theatre. He directed the New Jersey professional theatre premieres of The Last Night of Ballyhoo, An American Daughter, and Moon Over Buffalo. Other directorial projects include, Master Class, Carousel, Hello, Dolly!, The Merry Widow, Oklahoma!, and West Side Story. At Kean University, Sprayberry directed The Laramie Project and Stop Kiss, among others. Projects for William Paterson University included Agnes of God, Independence, The Magic Flute, and The Pirates of Penzance. At Manhattan College, he directed The Diary of Anne Frank In Montgomery he was commissioned to create a multi-media revue to honor the 175th anniversary of the State of Alabama and the City of Montgomery, 175 Years and the Dream Goes On . . . , for opening night ceremonies at the Alabama State Fair.
